History and Nature of Business
United Materials of Great Falls, Inc. was formed in 1983 through the merger
of three Montana corporations engaged in construction activities in the Great
Falls
area. These were United Industries, Inc., McIntyre Construction
Company, and Hilde
Construction Company. Subsequently, in 1993, UMGF
purchased the assets of Lewis
Construction Company, attaining it’s present size.
UMGF. is primarily engaged
in the production and sales of ready mix
concrete, sand and gravel aggregates,
asphalt hot mix, and related materials
to construction contractors. UMGF also is
actively engaged in contract
construction of highways, roads and other public and
private projects
involving these materials.
